The USC baseball team is riding a strong wave of momentum, winning seven consecutive games to close out their regular-season home schedule with a sweep of Nevada over the weekend.

As a result of these victories, the Trojans have moved up in the most recent USA Today Coaches Poll. They jumped three spots to land at No. 13.

USC leapfrogged No. 15 Oregon, which dropped one spot after losing two of three games to top-ranked UCLA. The Trojans also surpassed Kansas and Coastal Carolina, which fell eight places each to No. 17 and No. 18, respectively.

This week, USC heads to Eugene for a pivotal three-game series against Oregon to conclude the regular season. The outcomes will have significant implications for both the Big Ten and NCAA Tournament standings.

To secure a top-four finish in the conference and earn a bye to the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals, the Trojans must win at least two of three games against the Ducks. A single victory in Eugene could still put them in contention for a top-four spot, but they would need help from losses by Purdue and Michigan.
