Jannik Sinner, the Italian tennis star, has made history by becoming the first player ever to win five consecutive ATP Masters 1000 titles, from Paris 2025 through Madrid 2026. His victory at the Mutua Madrid Open has propelled him to the top of the ATP rankings, while Spanish teenager Rafa Jódar continues his remarkable ascent, now sitting at No. 34.
Sinner’s first triumph in Madrid boosts his points total to 14,350, giving him a 1,390-point lead over Carlos Alcaraz, who missed the tournament due to injury. German Alexander Zverev, who fell to Sinner in the final, added 550 points to solidify his third-place position with 5,805 points, while Novak Djokovic holds fourth with 4,700 points.
The Madrid tournament caused only one shift inside the top 10. Russian Daniil Medvedev climbs to ninth place, overtaking Italian Lorenzo Musetti. Meanwhile, Flavio Cobolli and Czech Jiri Lehecka each rose one spot to 12th and 13th, respectively, at the expense of Andrey Rublev, who dropped to 14th.
Spanish player Alejandro Davidovich moved up to 23rd after Norway’s Casper Ruud fell ten places to 25th. Rafa Jódar, who was stopped only by Sinner, continued his unstoppable climb by rising eight spots.

Jaume Munar remains at No. 38, while another Spanish prospect, Dani Mérida, jumped 16 places to No. 86. Pablo Carreño (91) and Martín Landaluce (94) also improved, but Roberto Bautista slipped five spots to No. 98.
