SSG Landers infielder Park Seong-han has been named the KBO League’s Monthly MVP for March–April 2026, marking the first such honor of his professional career.
Park earned the award with a dominant performance in both media and fan voting. He received 31 out of 35 votes (88.6%) from the media panel and 216,589 out of 420,871 fan votes (51.5%), securing a total score of 70.02 points. KIA Tigers star Kim Do-yeong, who hit 10 home runs during the same period, managed only 2 media votes and 81,077 fan votes for a total of 12.49 points, reflecting a wide gap.
Park’s March–April campaign was historic. He set a new KBO record by recording a hit in each of the first 22 games of the season, surpassing the previous mark of 18 consecutive games set by Kim Yong-hee (then of Lotte) in 1982. The streak ran from SSG’s season opener against KIA on March 28 through an April 21 game against Samsung, and extended until April 24 against KT, when it ended at 22 games.

Despite the streak ending, Park posted spectacular numbers over 27 games: 45 hits in 102 at-bats, a .441 batting average, a .543 on-base percentage, and a .618 slugging percentage. He led the league in batting average, hits, slugging, and on-base percentage, while also ranking second in runs (24) and tied for fourth in RBIs (22).
This is Park’s first Monthly MVP award since his debut, and the first for an SSG player since Choi Jeong won in June 2023. He will receive a 3 million won prize and a trophy. Additionally, under a sponsorship from Shinhan Bank, a 2 million won donation will be made to his alma mater, Yeosu Middle School, in his name.
