La Rosaleda could witness Málaga CF securing their playoff spot in their final home game of the regular season.
LaLiga officially announced on Monday the schedules for matchday 41, the penultimate round of the regular season, which will feature unified kick-off times. While some fixtures may be adjusted depending on this weekend’s results, the highly anticipated clash between Málaga CF and Racing de Santander—the team’s last confirmed home match of the campaign at La Rosaleda—is not expected to be among those rescheduled.

Martiricos will be on high alert on May 24 at 18:30 local time. This could be the day Funes’ side mathematically secures a spot in the promotion playoffs to La Liga, though they still trail Eibar and Burgos by a significant margin. Everything remains undecided, but one thing is certain: not a single seat should be left empty at La Rosaleda.
In contrast, Racing de Santander could arrive at Martiricos in celebratory mood. The team coached by former Málaga man José Alberto López may already have direct promotion confirmed by then. To achieve this, they need to beat Real Valladolid on matchday 40, combined with at least one of Deportivo de La Coruña or Almería failing to win against Andorra or Las Palmas, respectively. If both conditions are met, a draw against Málaga would be enough for the Santander side to secure direct promotion.
